Perennial plant. Used to improve natural and create cultivated hayfields and pastures, has high fodder qualities. It is the best component in a mixture with timothy or fescue. It is stored in grass mixtures for up to 3 years. It is also used as a sideral crop. After decomposition, the biomass becomes an easily digestible fertilizer, and the soil is enriched with organic matter, humus, potassium and nitrogen. Humification processes occur only in the presence of moisture in the soil.
